Low to play Whelan’s in August 2013

lowAmerican indie rock group from Duluth, Minnesota, Low, have just announced a concert at Whelan’s on August 20th.

Tickets priced at €23 go on sale on Monday, April 29th at Ticketmaster.

Low released the 10th record “The Invisible Way” on March 18th, 2013. The band formed in 1983, so the release marks Low’s 20th anniversary as a band.

Alan Sparhawk, the guitarist/vocalist of Low said: “While driving through Chicago on tour, we finally stopped to visit Wilco at their studio, The Loft. They had invited us to come check it out several times over the years, but this would finally be the day…What really converted us was hearing the new Mavis Staples tracks they were working on – big, simple, raw and intimate. Plans were made then and there.”
