Aslan announce “A Night For Christy” – June 21st at The Olympia Theatre

aslanAslan cancelled their Olympia Theatre show scheduled for St Patrick’s Day a few days before the concert due to illness.

During a live radio interview with NewsTalk’s Tom Dunne, Aslan have announced a new Dublin date for Friday, June 21st at The Olympia Theatre. The show, called “A Night for Christy”, will feature

  • and a very special guest to be announced.

Each of the guests will take Christy’s place, singing their favourite song from Aslan’s repertoire. Performances on the night will include fan favourites Crazy World, Too Late For Hallelujah, This Is’, Chains, This Time, Gotta Make It, Down on Me, Catch Your Fall and many more.

According to information released in the interview by band members, lead singer Christy Dignam’s health is better and he’s out of hospital. They’ve also said they miss being up on stage, but they’ve used the free time to remaster some old tunes and focus on some other projects they didn’t have time for before.

Tickets for the show priced at €30 go on sale on Friday, May 10th at Ticketmaster.

Aslan formed in 1982 in Dublin. They stopped playing together between 1988 and 1993. Since their reunion in 1993 Aslan have released 7 studio albums.
