The Beat confirm Academy performance for December

The Beat had a highly acclaimed performance at this year’s Electric Picnic. 

Those who missed their set have a new reason to be excited: The Beat have just announced a headline date at Dublin’s The Academy on December 20th 2013.

Formed in 1987 in Birmingham, The Beat have released three albums: “I Just Can’t Stop It” (1980), “Wha’ppen” (1981) and “Special Beat Service” (1982). In 1983 the band decided to break-up only to reunite in 2006. In the year of the reunion, The Beat recorded an album which remained unreleased.

Tickets for The Beat at The Academy, priced €21, go on sale this Friday from Ticketmaster.
