Franz Ferdinand to play The Olympia Theatre

franz_ferdinandFranz Ferdinand have just announced that they will play a show at The Olympia Theatre on March 23rd, 2014.

The band have announced the Irish headline date following a cracking set at this year’s Electric Picnic festival. The Glaswegian indie rockers just released their fourth studio album, “Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action“, last month. With favorable reviews, it hit No.1 on the UK Indie Album Charts and peaked at number 6 in the general album charts. The band had been testing the new material during a string of gigs throughout 2012 and 2013. Consequently, they hit the EP stage with a battalion of new tracks and tore the place down.

They’ve received raving reviews from EP, so if you missed them here’s your chance…Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 12th at 9am, from Ticketmaster Online and nationwide outlets.
