Classical music lovers are in for a treat as violin players Vladimir & Anton Jablokov bring their new show ‘Two Brothers’ to the National Concert Hall on 7th April 2014.

Backed by a 25 piece orchestra, the brothers will play an eclectic mix of show tunes from the likes of ‘Westside Story’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ and ‘The Godfather’ alongside classical works from Bach, Vivaldi and Strauss.

The show coincides with the 10 year anniversary of the historic enlargement of the EU, which saw the largest single expansion of the EU, including the addition of the brother’s native Slovakia.

This expansion occurred under the Irish presidency and to mark the occasion, several Slovakian dignitaries will be in attendance, including the Slovakian Ambassador to Ireland Mr Roman Buzek. Also attending will be former Irish Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

2014 is also the 10 year anniversary of Vladimir’s arrival in Ireland. From humble beginnings busking on Grafton Street he has gone on to play some of Ireland’s most prestigious venues, including The Mansion House, The Gaiety Theatre and Cork Opera House as well as a sold out show in the Concert Hall in 2010.

Tickets for their show at The national Concert Hall priced €25, €30, €35 are on sale from nch.ie.
