come-on-live-long-button-factory-dublin-12In July of last year, I went to see a band for review in Whelan’s. I’d never heard of them previous to this night but boy did they make their mark on me. Dublin Concerts Irish Band of the Week is none other than Dublin band ‘Come on Live Long’.

The guys have been a busy bunch since that gig and the release of their debut album ‘Everything Fall’, on a constant national tour which continues again for a headline show in the aforementioned venue on Saturday 26th April but not before they join some great acts at this year’s Barn Dance Festival on Good Friday.

After fulfilling their Irish obligations, the five piece head westward and across the pond to take on a tour of Canada after being chosen to play during Canada Music Week. The band requested donations from their fans so they could live out this dream and finally play their first gigs outside of Ireland. Of course the fund it campaign was successful, more than successful as they raised more than originally requested. So if anyone is reading this in Ontario, Canada, get down to Starlight in Waterloo on May 4th, Bar Radio in Toronto on the 6th or Dakota Tavern in Toronto on the 10th to hear one of the best live acts coming out of Ireland right now.

If you’re in Ireland, do yourself a favour and see these at Whelan’s at the end of the month.

Watch the video for ‘Little Ones’, one of singles from the debut album ‘Everything Fall’!
