damien-riceDamien Rice will make a rare Irish appearance when he plays Whelan’s next Tuesday 13 May. The show is part of Whelan’s 25th anniversary celebrations and is Rice’s first Irish show for a number of years.

There was a time when you could rarely turned on a radio without hearing a Damien Rice song but he hasn’t released any new material since ‘9’ in 2006. However he is due to finally release his third album later this year so hopefully those lucky to attend on Tuesday will be treated to some of the new material.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, 8 May at 9 a.m. and will cost €25. They’re limited to 4 per person and are sure to sell out quickly so make sure you log on early tomorrow morning to grab your ticket for this special show.
