Ed Sheeran, Vicar Street, DublinFresh from his surprise show in Vicar Street last week, Ed Sheeran has announced a fourth date in the O2 in October.

Already set to play sold out shows on 4, 5 and 6 October, Sheeran has now added an extra date on Friday 3 October for those who missed out on tickets for the first three gigs.

Ed has a new album out in June called ‘x’ (multiply). The follow up to ‘+’ from 2011, Sheeran has worked with a number of production heavyweights for this release. Pharrell Williams, Rick Rubin and Benny Blanco (not the one from the Bronx) have all had a hand in making the album and with four months between its release and the O2 gigs, fans will have plenty of time to familiarise themselves with the new tunes.

Tickets for the extra date go on sale this Friday 16 May and will cost €42.55.

Stage times:

– Doors 6:30pm
– Saint Raymond 7.30pm
– Ed Sheeran 8.30pm
