Kishi Bashi to play Whelan’s in October

kishi-bashiKishi Bashi will play upstairs in Whelan’s on Saturday 8 October.

A talented violinist who has toured with Regina Spektor and of Montreal, K Ishibashi has just released his second album under his Kishi Bashi moniker, ‘Lighght’ (pronounced ‘light’). The follow up to his 2012 debut ‘151a’, ‘Lighght’ sees Kishi Bashi expand his musical palette and the results are astounding. The album is an exuberant, feel good record that’s worthy of sound-tracking this and many summers to come.

Kishi Bashi’s loop pedal based live show should be a thrilling experience not to be missed.

Tickets go on sale this Friday 23 May and are priced at €12. Have a listen to the wonderful ‘The Ballad of Mr Steak’ from ‘Lighght’.
