Dublin Peace Festival starts this weekend and runs till July 5th. A host of artistic events across the city are scheduled to mark the occasion. Two significant musical free gigs will take place.

PeaceBeats on July 2nd at Sweeney’s Bar, Dame Street

Running from 9.30pm until late, the line up includes:

  • Dem Fools – headliners
  • Harley
  • The Yes Crowd
  • and many more

Designed to promote peace to young people through music, performance and the spoken word, this is a free event. It runs from 9.30 pm till late.

The Peace Concert takes place in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar on July 4th from 7.30 pm. The  international contemporary artistic schedule for the night includes:

  • Donal Lunny and Paddy Glackin
  • Omagh Community Youth Choir with Daryl Simpson
  • The Yung Ling Academy
  • Bairbre Anne
  • Choro Hy Brazil
  • Sive and Her Band
  • The Young Folk
