The Who to kick off their ‘Who Hits Fifty’ tour at the O2, Dublin
Update: Due to unforeseen logistical difficulties, The Who’s Irish tour dates have been rescheduled to next summer and will now play at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast on June 21st and 3Arena, Dublin on June 23rd.
The Who confirm ‘Who Hits Fifty’ tour that kicks off at The O2, Dublin on November 26th.
The Who have confirmed details about their “Who Hits Fifty” tour, including two Irish dates:
- The O2, Dublin on November 26th
- The Odyssey Arena, Belfast on November 28th
The show will see the band play all the classic anthems: ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’, ‘My Generation’, ‘Baba O’Riley’, ‘Who Are You’, ‘I Can’t Explain’, P’inball Wizard’, ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ and many more.
Pete Townshend commented: “Trying to stay young. Not wearing socks. Growing a great big Woodcutter’s beard. Might even wear a check shirt on stage and get a tattoo of a Union Jack. Always a fashion victim. But under no illusions. We are what we are, and extremely good at it, but we’re lucky to be alive and still touring. If I had enough hairs to split I would say that for thirteen years since 1964 The Who didn’t really exist, so we are really only thirty-seven”.
