Ed Sheeran Whelans Dublin 24 January 2015

Following his sold out shows at 3Arena, Dublin, Ed Sheeran chooses to play an intimate Whelan’s gig later this month. The show on January 24th will be part of VH1’s series ‘Storytellers’. The addition of this season of Storytellers is that the artists will pick and play at a venue they want. Sheeran picked Dublin’s Whelan’s because the venue has personal meaning to him. The British musician saw Damien Rice at Whelan’s more than 10 years ago, and that concert inspired him and changed his life.

“It’s amazing to come back to perform at a place that means so much to me personally,” said Sheeran. “I was only about 11 or 12 years old when I saw Damien [Rice] play at Whelan’s, and that night literally changed my life. The time he spent talking with me after the show made all the difference. It inspired me in a way that I only hope to do for someone else.”

Only 400 tickets are available for this show. Apply for tickets here.
