With Heroes in Hiding set to perform twice at Electric Picnic this weekend, the Dublin folk rock four-piece have released a music video for their next single ‘Casanova’.

The track is taken from the group’s debut EP Hush and is typical of the sound Heroes in Hiding have been crafting early in their career. Folk influences are apparent in the gentle intro but it isn’t long before the slow, considered pace rises into the sort of rousing chorus which is ready-made for a festival like Electric Picnic.

Daniel Kennedy and Niall Conroy of Second Frame Films are behind the lo-fi psychedelia of the video, which features the band performing atop a series of abstract images. The overhead camera tracks around a landscape crafted from battered old video tapes and water-damaged Rorschach tests.

For those lucky ones in possession of an Electric Picnic ticket, you can see Heroes in Hiding at 6pm on Friday on the Oxjam Stage and 1pm on Saturday on the Cosby Stage.
