Loop Culture’s New Single – ‘O.K.’
With their debut EP set for release on 6 November, Loop Culture have made the first single, ‘O.K.’, available for listening. ‘O.K’ arrives as only the second single from the blossoming Dublin outfit, following on from the release of ‘How Does It Feel?’ earlier this year.
The track is typical of modern indie-pop, with a steady bassline and jangling rhythm guitar providing the foundation for some clever hooks. The electronic side of the group’s songwriting can be heard in the kind of synth notes that evoke memories of a hazy summer evening. If this track is any indication, the upcoming EP should be a mesh of indie-rock sensibilities and synth-pop flavours.
Loop Culture emerged victorious from the War at the Button battle of the bands competition which took place over the summer, beating out thirty-five other acts to seal the victory in September. This week, on 5 November, the band will return to the scene of their triumph, The Button Factory, to launch the new EP. Tickets for the event can be purchased from tickets.ie and are priced at €8.
