More Acts Announced For Electric Picnic 2016
With just two weeks to go until we return to Stradbally, the final announcement for this years edition of Electric Picnic has been revealed. Chart topping singer/songwriter James Bay will be joined by UK grime superstar Skepta, who will undoubtedly treat fans to tracks from his latest LP, ‘Konnichiwa’.
Dublin favourites Bell X1 will return to the picnic once again. They’ll be joined by Dingle’s Walking On Cars, techno producer and Drumcode label boss Adam Beyer, 80s legends ABC, UK electronica duo Gorgon City and alt-rockers Lightning Seeds.
YouTube sensation Lindsey Stirling will be bringing her electronic repertoire along with alt-pop duo Oh Wonder, as well as American experimental-rock outfit Mothers. Hermitage Green and Picture This will also make appearances, the latter of whom released their number 1 self-titled EP this month. For added variety, Reggie Snow, Ryan Sheridan and Wyvern Lingo are also in the impressive mix.
Disco tinged New Jackson will join King Kong Company with blues singer Brian Deady, while there’s a stream of great Irish bands in the pot too. Otherkin, Daithì, Rusangano Family and Saint Sister will fly the flag along side Talos and Dublin boys Hare Squead.
On top of all that, make sure to check out Neon Wolf, CC Brez, BARQ, Eve Belle, Sample Answer, Wild//Youth, Fangclub, Áine Cahill and Tim Chadwick throughout the weekend.
