Local Natives to return to Dublin for a concert at The Olympia Theatre
Two days after their sold-out show in Whelan’s, Local Natives announce another Dublin gig for October 24th 2013.
Support: Cloud Control and Breton
Local Natives formed in 2008 in California and released “Gorilla Manor”,their first album in 2009. The album won Local Natives the Best New Music Debut Album. Since 2009 the band headlined many concerts both in The US and in Europe, and supported great band, including Arcade Fire.
At the end of January 2013, Local Natives launched their second studio album, called “Hummingbird”. In the two years following Gorilla Manor’s release, the band saw the highest highs and the lowest lows they had ever experienced together; while their wildest musical dreams were coming to fruition, personal relationships faltered or fell apart, and a close family member suddenly passed away. As such, the songs on Hummingbird embody that similar dichotomy – they are fragile and powerful, opulent and spare, tense and poised.
Tickets for Local Natives at The Olympia Theatre, priced at €22.90, go on sale on February 15th at Ticketmaster.
