BARQ – Gentle Kind Of Lies

BARQ - Gentle Kind Of Lies - Single Review

BARQ are a Dublin based quartet that exploded onto the Dublin scene recently with their unique blend of neo soul, Rnb and alternative rock. While the group take influence from the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, Radiohead and Erykah Badu, it’s rather difficult to pin them to any one genre. Think impossibly tight grooves over otherworldly guitar lines and aggressively soulful vocals.

Comprised of some of Dublin’s most formidable musicians, the outfit is fronted by mammoth performer Jess Kav. Having worked with the likes of Jape and Le Galaxie to name a few, the wealth of experience here is staggering. Having already been booked for some of the biggest festivals in the country, including Indiependence and Groove Festival, this ‘Agro Soul’ troupe are surely ones to watch.

Their debut single ‘Gentle Kind Of Lies’ hit the web late last month with an accompanying video shot by the good folks at Crooked Gentleman, which you can check out right here:
