Conor Linnie at KnockanStockan 2013 – Review and Photos
Conor Linnie – KnockanStockan – July 27th, 2013
Conor Linnie and his band played the bright and quirkily decorated Shack of Diamonds stage to a quite packed and eager crowd on Saturday night of KnockanStockan 2013. Having some technical difficulties with his guitar to begin with the folk singer began his set about 15 minutes late but that was soon forgotten as Linnie’s powerful yet sultry voice began to swirl through the warm night and countryside air. From the get-go the energy level was off the scale and didn’t drop for an instant throughout the set as we were shown Linnie’s great talent at keeping the atmosphere energetic and buzzing. A man with a real knack for performing had him jumping over speakers and around the stage all the while singing and playing his guitar. With a voice and musical style liking to the great Bob Dylan, Linnie’s voice clearing shows his natural and practised talent while his sweet harmonies make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. An artist with a knack for great song-writing, a naturally talented voice and a great stage presence I’m sure we’ll be hearing the name Conor Linnie uttered much more in the coming future.
