Fox Jaw Irish band of the Week

There are rock bands, but then there are Rock ‘n’ Roll bands, strong music that comes to life and brings you to life with it. That’s what we get from Fox Jaw and their new album Ghost Parade and why we have chosen them as our Irish Band of the Week. Check out our review of the album here.

The hearty Irish vocals of Ronan Mitchell give them a wonderful sound and presence, one which I’ve no doubt is replicated on stage. With several big gigs on the horizon, the Limerick lads really took that year out to hone their craft and not just ponder their futures over a pot of tea. A big week lies ahead for the lads with an album launch with our northerly neighbours in Belfast, before returning south for 2 gigs in Dublin, hitting Cuckoo’s Nest on the 10th and the Grand Social for their birthday celebrations on the 11th.

Having always been a hard working band, they look to continue this by playing every conceivable venue they can to visit as many towns as possible to appease their growing fan base. This is nothing new to them, following their release of their debut album ‘The Devil in Music’ in 2011, they spent the next 2 years showing the musical wares across the world, playing nearly 100 gigs in that time.
