Heroes in Hiding – Irish Band of the Week
So, why are the Dublin based folk-rock quartet known as Heroes in Hiding our Irish Band of the Week?
Well, with an impressive resume like theirs it stands as a testament to what great music and talent come straight from Ireland. Since the release of their debut EP Hush in March of last year, they’ve gone on to perform at the inaugural Secret Solstice International Music and Arts Festival in Iceland, Castlepalooza, Le Cheile, Life Festival, and Electric Picnic.
This year has been even more action-packed for them, performing at Canalaphonic in the past week and preparing for the release of their single, ‘Today, I Mean It’ from their new EP Decorated Absence this week. Having been fortunate enough to get an early listen to their new EP, I can tell you that it’s musical gold, building upon the boys’ reputation of great music and powerful vocals. It’s easy to see why John Murray of RTE Radio 1 earmarked them as “Ireland’s next indie hit makers”.
This summer will again see them rocking out a number of festivals, such as the Forbidden Fruit Festival, alongside some pretty big headliners. They’ll also be holding their own EP launch for Decorated Absence in the Twisted Pepper, with support from Karla Chubb and The Shades. If you simply can’t wait that long to listen to the guys do what they do best, then check out Soundcloud today, where they’ll be premiering their new EP.
