Kate’s Party – Irish Band of the Week
Music has been one of Ireland’s most successful exports. Numerous bands have prospered over the water in the UK and built their futures on the back of that success. One band looking to do that are Kate’s Party who are the Dublin Concerts’ Irish Band of the Week.
The mixed genre Dublin band have had a few flips and changes in their lineup over the years, but with one constant being the creation of great music. If you want to know why I say mixed genre you should check out their debut album “Hollow” which was released in March this year. Big influences come flooding from each song in the heavy guitar pick ‘n’ mix.
Now setting sail from Irish shores to further the musical process, Kate’s Party must first fund this new adventure. So how do they plan to do that? With a big tour fundraiser right here in Dublin. Whelan’s will host KP and friends on the 2nd of August, for what is set to be a ‘hoppin’ night upstairs in the historic venue. It’s no easy feat making it in the tough UK market, but Kate’s Party have the talent and the cutting edge to pull it off!
