Leading Armies take the Sun Stage as the heavens open up and scantily-clad festival goers flee for shelter among the trees and under tents while only a handful of hard-core music enthusiasts choose to stay and watch despite the downpour. The lead singer (while wearing an insane yet mesmerizing feather headdress) thanked the crowd mostly sticking around despite the rain. The funk rock group brought their a-game and had the audience jiving through the downpour in no time while the band grooved along with their instruments and the singer’s sweet and smokey voice drifted through the fields. As the skies began to clear rain-fearing festival goers made their way to slowly fill up the area at the front of the Sun Stage. With intricate melody lines played on all instruments and 6-part harmony singing there wasn’t a weak link in the chain and the whole set had a little bit of every component thrown in that made it a raging success.
