Miracle Bell – Irish Band of the Week
Having just experienced our first few (and probably only…) days of Irish summer, it’s time to put aside the wonderful indie acoustic bands who dominate the Irish music scene and turn on some tunes for a that match our uplifted moods…
Meet this week’s DublinConcerts.ie “Irish Band of the Week” – Miracle Bell.
If you haven’t heard of them yet, it’s time to open up your ears as this Dublin/Kildare synth-electro band have been on top of lists all year as “ones to watch”, and deservedly so. After disappearing for a two year-long hiatus to write and record, this electro pop duo are back with their second ever record and following the release of their teaser video filled with snippets of the new tunes, the hype for Miracle Bell is building once again.
Following a critically-acclaimed debut album “Light Shape Sound” and a repertoire as one of the best live bands going around this fair isle, a lot is expected of Miracle Bell for their second record. However, judging by their teaser video and the first of their brand new tracks to be released,”Wolves”, it’s becoming pretty evident that they aren’t going to disappoint. John Broe & John Rigby are an unstoppable duo and have produced some well-tuned indie pop or “electro pop in F#” as they like to put it for our airwaves.
Electro-synth music is exactly Ireland’s forté, with a déluge of acoustic & folk bands and singer-songwriters filling the Irish music scene in the past few years. As good as these artists all are, Miracle Bell prove to be just the break from the acoustic scene that you needed. Back with a new line-up of a mere two members, Miracle Bell have already proved themselves to be even better this time round with a sound ready for the summer.
