One Horse Pony

Who doesn’t love a free gig? This Saturday 20th September sees the return to Whelan’s of one of the finest blues bands in the country. One Horse Pony are a Cork based hard driving acoustic blues band, and are this week’s Irish Band of the Week.

With musicians from all over including Ireland, France and Poland, their solid blues blend will leave the most discerning blues aficionado drooling for more. With a real mash up of guitars, double bass, harmonica and to add the Irish feel, the bodhrán, OHP delight crowds all over Ireland and further afield.

Releasing their debut album last year to rave reviews, the 5 piece soon set the world alight and made a big name for themselves with the release of ‘Blue When I Go’.
