Pelicans, Irish Band of the Week

When you have a voice like melting Indie-Pop butter, then you better use it to great effect and have the musicians behind you to spread those vocals. That’s what David Bridgeman and the rest of the lads in Pelicans have done, and boy, have they got it down to a tee. They are this week’s Irish Band of the Week.

Pelicans are a 4 piece indie-pop band from Dublin and released their debut EP ‘Day Tours’ at the end of 2013. A busy 2014 followed including a handful of gigs in the Workman’s Club, Dublin and also being part of the Guinness Amplify sessions in Fibber Magee’s earlier this month.

The boys head back to The Workman’s Club early next month to perform at the wonderful ‘Pleasing Features’ night which is monthly project to showcase and promote up and coming bands, and offers Free Entry to see some of the best local talent. Donations are welcome but not compulsory. With Pelicans and several others on the bill for the evening, it’s sure to be a top night and need I say it again…it’s free.
