Raglans at KnockanStockan 2013 – Review and Photos
Raglans at KnockanStockan, Saturday July 27th 2013
Raglans got the sun set. KockanStockan got a punchy, fast paced, barrier bouncing performance from this adorable indie band. Crowd grabbers, their ohohohhh’s made everybody join in the jingle jangle fun of it all. Their music is infectious, they filled up the field from the back gate to the Sun Stage. Four lads from Dublin look like they are on their way to big days. They have already toured the UK extensively and have a significant following. They have supported Midge Ure, Glen Tilbrook and Cathy Davey. In fact, now I mention Glen Tillbrook. I can already hear the influence, and echoes of The Lumineers kind of clappy, happy harmonies. The current single ”Natives” … is it their “Ho Hey”? It’s fairly irresistible.
Good clean old fashioned indie fun, hints of folk, whiffs of pop with hooks and catchy harmonies.
