Jack of Diamonds Music Festival 2012 ended more than a week ago, but we still have photos and stories to share with you. The 68s played at The Mercantile on Saturday night, right after The Gandhis. It was a hot Saturday night and after The Gandhis people went out, where it was more crowded than inside. As soon as The 68s started playing, people rushed back in and started dancing. They’re a bunch of  really talented musicians with a mature, refined sound.  Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix are just some of the rock classics that have influenced The 68s and that’s something you can easily guess from their music.

Besides their guitar-driven rock composition, they cover classic hits from Elvis, The Doors, Dire Straits and Pink Floyd. They sometimes busk on Grafton Street so make sure you don’t miss them.

Band members:

  • Barry- Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
  • Brian- Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar
  • Dave- Drums, Percussion, Backing Vocals
  • John- Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar
  • Josh- Bass, Backing Vocals

Check out some photos from their set at The Mercantile, during Jack of Diamonds Festival.
