The Barley Mob – KnockanStockan – July 27th, 2013

Rocking it out reggae style is what the Barley Mob do best. With their infectious Caribbean cool notes and chilled bass lines, clever articulate lyrics blended into Marley flavoured anthems, that had the whole festival on its feet. They induced crowd hugs, with “Everybody’s Music“, as frontman Adam Daly demanded the people’s revolution. A heart warming message fills the air as they pronounce “You’ll never be lost when you’ve got music“, wisdom from Daly’s twelve year old brother who had cancer. Rebel calls for fighters with ”burn down Dail Eireann“, yet the lilting happy harmonies disguise the tone of the nation right now. The funky flowered up crowd soaked in the sunshine, dancing the day brought to them by The Barley Mob. These guys know how to work the crowd, they give it all they’ve got. They are on the money.
