This Other Kingdom Irish Band of the Week

“Gritty” and “chaotic” are just 2 of the words that have been said about this week’s selected band. Belting their Neo-Psychedelic brains off, This Other Kingdom are the Dublin Concerts Irish Band of the Week.

With old school vocals, reminiscent of a certain singer from The Doors, the Dublin based band brings a certain flavour not too often recognised on the Dublin music scene. From their debut EP Sunlight, with its splendid title track, to their very popular debut single ‘Rise’ (mixed by Ghost Estates singer Dan Doherty of Darklands Studio), we have seen the rise and rise of this up and coming 4 piece.

Having garnered some success over the past couple of years, including radio play all over the world, TOK are set to release their debut album, Telescopic, this coming weekend. The first track from the new album, ‘The Day, Your Day’ has shown a massive progression in their quality and style in both performance and recordings. A bassy melee of sound giving you that tasty intro to what is sure to be a much talked about debut album.

To coincide with the release, This Other Kingdom have an album launch night in the Workman’s Club this Saturday April 11th. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster for only €7.
