Wyvern Lingo, a three piece band from Bray in County Wicklow, took the stage of the Faerie Field to a crowd of eager looking festival goers-the anticipation in the air was electric! Three of the girls’ friends joined them on stage to play strings for the band, something that really complimented the folk/pop style band. Their most popular performance of the set was undoubtedly the upbeat and catchy ‘Fools’, a song released by the girls over two years ago and still one of their most popular to date. With the simple plucking on the double bass while Cowley and Barry’s sweet harmonies intertwined the KnockanStockan festival goers couldn’t help but at least stamp a foot or mouth along the words. Further into the set Wyvern Lingo played their more down tempo and thoughtful songs like ‘Snow’ and ‘Fairytale’ which had the audience in a more sombre state while listening intently. Finishing with ‘Fountains’, a soulful and slightly more upbeat number, had the crowd in a mood of elevation with many wide-toothed grins spotted. As the girls harmonies faded to silence a round of applause broke out and had almost every audience member on their feet-a great set from a great band.
