Fenech-Soler confirm Academy 2 date – Cancelled

Update: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the gig has been cancelled.

Here is the statement the band added to their website.

“Hi guys,

We’re extremely sorry, but due to unforeseen circumstances we’re having to re-schedule our shows in Liverpool, Dublin and Belfast. We really are gutted.

Obviously your ticket will still be valid for the re-scheduled show or refunds are available at point of purchase. Anyone with a Liverpool ticket can use this for the Manchester show on Friday 15th Nov at Gorilla. We truly are sorry for the inconvenience and we hope to see you really soon.

Ben, Andrew, Daniel and Ross”

British electro pop band Fenech-Soler have just announced a concert at The Academy 2 for Saturday, November 9th.

Ticket priced at €10.75 go on sale on Friday, 24th May from Ticketmaster. This is a 14+ show.

The British electro pop quartet formed in 2006 and have just released their second album earlier this month. The album follows their self-titled debut release in 2012 and has given them a lot to live up, seeing as it was a Best British Debut Album of the Year nominee. “Rituals” was recorded in numerous locations across the course of 2012, with members recording solo in separate locations. Now they take to the Academy 2 stage to test out some new tracks and break out the back catalogue just for you.

Vocalist Ben Duffy says: “I think the pop element is certainly something that wasn’t calculated, but also something that we didn’t decide to turn our back on. For us, it’s been about paying attention to what makes a good song and about being direct. We haven’t been afraid to make a pop record. It’s about connecting with people on a universal level while remaining true to our dance roots.”
