The Weeks return to Ireland for Academy 2 Gig

the-weeks

the-weeksThe Weeks are to return to Dublin for an Academy 2 gig on October 20th!

Following a cracking Grand Social gig in July, the Mississippi band are returning to the irish capital for an Academy 2 gig. The band are signed to record label, Snakes and Serpents, which is owned by Grammy winning american rockers Kings of Leon, and have just released their album “Dear Bo Jackson” in July, earlier this year.

Our reviewer Pat Byrne says “their southern country influences are obvious but it’s what they do with it that draws your attention”. He says they sell the story of each track with every word backed by guitar distortion and plenteous drumming. Frontman Cyle Barnes never stops moving in a live gig, and you just cannot take your eyes off him. It’s sure to be quite the show from the band who have been supporting Kings of Leon on their world tour all year.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 9th at 9am, on Ticketmaster.
