Doppler – Irish Band of the Week | DublinConcerts.ie
One thing we love here at Dublin Concerts is new music, but one thing we love even more is new Irish music. One such act that has been occupying our ears most recently has been Kildare based duo, Doppler, and they are this week’s Irish Band of the Week.
One of the guys from Doppler sent us in their new track to give it a listen. We browse so much new music at Dublin Concerts, but it’s rare to find something that just makes you close your eyes and let the music flow. Doppler’s new track ‘Railroad’ led us right in and kept us there for a terrific 6 minutes. The smooth guitar grooves and elongated vocals on each line flows through you so naturally like blood through a vein.
Doppler are made up of Jamie Mulrooney and Robert Sheegar. They have been friends for years, writing on and off together in their hometown of Maynooth, County Kildare. After a stop-start process, they were finally convinced by friends to reunite and get that music rolling once more. After some bizarre download success in Estonia, they set forth with a steady flow of Irish followers to embark on the next stage of their musical journey. With a big future set firmly in their sights, they are preparing for further releases and big collaborations on the way. Watch this space.
It’s no surprise that this track is now starting to receive significant airplay from local and national stations alike. As a special treat, the lads have decided to offer this track as a free download over on their Soundcloud. You can check them out on Facebook to keep up to date with new developments.
