Silent Noise Parade – Irish Band of the Week

silent-noise-paradeSilent Noise Parade, a 5 piece Alternative indie band hailing from Limerick (or Tipperary depending who you ask) are this week’s Dublin Concerts Irish Band of the Week.

It’s been a big 2 years for the Munster lads with the release of their debut album Electric Lives and the Nightmare That Follows’, supporting Irish duo Heathers and many compliments across the world from various musical organisations from California to Sydney.

Big things were certainly on the horizon last year when 2 pieces of new work from the band received big attention. Still The Gardens Grow’ received glowing reviews across the world including extensive airplay on Ireland’s biggest local and National stations. Meanwhile another song Electric Priestess’ was selected by RTE for a promotional campaign. Where it might seem minor to some, these opportunities pay dividends in the long run.

Now they embark on a new journey which will include a brand new album. This has been delightfully preceded by their latest single ‘Fears’ which was released at the beginning of April.

Fears has a bigger bolder feel to their previous efforts.  Guitar heavy, smooth synth loops encapsulating Sherlocks delicate but tenacious vocals. One can only hope the forthcoming album will have the similar dark, floor filling tunes to get your teeth into.
